Walgreens Trip: 6/24/10 $358 for -$22.50

by Alicia on June 25, 2010

I hit Walgreens yesterday and they had EVERYTHING I needed in stock.  I spent $55 on the items pictured above and left with $77.50 in Register Rewards.  I don’t like spending a lot out of pocket, so this trip kind of upset me- until I realized that they still ‘paid’ me $22.50 to walk out the door.

The Loot

  • 18 Gillette Body Wash
  • 6 Old Spice Body Wash
  • 9 Herbal Essences Shampoo
  • 12 Renu
  • 14 bars of Neutrogena
  • 7 assorted Neutrogena Cleansers
  • 7 Kit Kat
  • 7 Reese’s
  • 8 Ramen Noodles (fillers)
  • 5 toe separators (fillers)
  • 2 pairs of clippers (fillers)
  • 4 Palmolive (fillers)

Coupons Used

  • 4 $2/1 Renu (I bought the others without)
  • 12 $4/2 Body Wash
  • 20 $1.50/1 Neutrogena
  • 25% off Neutrogena Rain Check (from previous week)

If I had more coupons, I would have done much better.  I could have saved another $25 with just the remaining Renu and Herbal Essences coupons.  We’ve just been so busy that I’ve not had time to look ahead!

Did you hit Walgreens this week?  How did you do?

I went to Walgreens too, but didn’t do nearly as good as you :( When you used the $4/2 bodywash coupons it only printed out 1 RR for you right? That’s all mine would do.

I did my Wags shopping last Sunday and got the following for $2.49 total cash out of pocket:
2- 20 oz Walgreen brand lemon/lime soda
2- Old Spice Body Wash (used bogo q & $5RR) for .27 oop

In a separate transaction I did:
1-Sunmaid Raisin (filler)
3-Hunts Tomato Sauce (filler)
1-Herbal Essence Shampoo (used $1/1)
2-Jell-O (filler)
3- Chicken of Sea Tuna (filler)
1- Deep Woods Off (used.55/1)
Then used remaining $10 RR that was getting ready to expire and also used Wag coupons for $2.22 oop Got $35 worth of products :-) Saved 93% total & got back $6.50 in RRs for next trip.
