Among retailers, Wal-Mart often advertises the lowest price. While this is not always a reliable statement when pitted against stores that offer sales, it is commonly true when purchasing items at regular price. Wal-Mart does not double coupons, which is a major drawback. One of the positives is that the retailer does offer a ‘Pricematch Guarantee’. Each Wal-Mart has a slightly different policy regarding which stores they pricematch (PM), but up to 50 miles seems the norm for more rural areas and 5 miles for more metropolitan areas. Pricematching is simple, you just need to take in an ad from another store, and Wal-Mart will match the sale price. This does not work with % off or BOGO sales. Wal-Mart will even PM a store brand. Simply pick up a Great Value or Sam’s Choice equivalent. I recommend that you call ahead of time to verify your store’s pricematch policy.
