Good Afternoon Readers! I’m kind of faced with a question and I hoped you could provide some insight for me.
On most blogs with the traffic I have, there are tons of comments daily. I’m lucky to get 1 or 2 a week around here! Because the blog is a terrible, unpaid, time sucker, I’m not sure that I should continue to spend so much time working on it if there aren’t any readers. I keep it going for my readers, but if I don’t have any, it’s not worth my 6-8 hours a day!
If you read the blog regularly, leave a comment below so that I know you’re out there. It’s really hard for me to keep motivated when I feel like I’m talking to a wall!
Thanks!

I’m here!!
I only remember to read it when you post a link to it on FB which is usually when there is a hot deal. Although even if there wasn’t a hot deal, if you posted a FB link to anything new on the blog I would click it & read it.
Alicia, my suggestion is to hang in there (but maybe switch to a free site until you have more followers). I follow Money Saving Mom and I know that she is going to have a series soon about blogging for profit and Blogging With Amy (she works for MSM) has dedicated her blog to that topic. About half-way through the year, I plan on looking at their info more in-depth to get my blog really going. There are a lot of good tips out there for getting more traffic to your site. So, I suggest that before you give up, see what other people say about getting more traffic to your site.
I read it, just usually through facebook link.
You and me both sister! I read your blog every day, but I don’t always comment. On the other hand, I blog my little heart out and people only comment if its for a giveaway so I feel kind of lame. Maybe we need to start something to get people commenting? Blog hops usually work, but they don’t always last, especially after you quit hosting it.
Hey I’m with you on that as well, I am lucky to get a comment once in 3 months unless it’s for a giveaway, I feel sometimes as if I’m blogging for no reason. I keep blogging because I seriously LOVE it.
I seriously hope your kidding…. I LOVE your blog!!! I tell all my couponing friends about it because it’s local and so informative! I do appreciate all the hard work you do, I don’t always comment because I’m busy and really only have a few minutes a day to check on facebook. And when I do I’m in, on and out.
PLEASE continue your blog!!!!!!
I do read it, but I usually dont have much time to comment. I would participate a little more as soon as I’m out o school!
I read when it pops up on facebook but I don’t actually go to the blog itself very often. I’m more apt to comment on a facebook posting than the blog page. I say do what makes you money lady
Hi! I have taken two of your classes and I check your blog almost every day! Never thought about commenting – don’t know why! But I appreciate the information so much. I also know my friends check your blog often too. It really helps it have one place to help watch for the deals. Hope you keep it going! Thank you so much!
I read it, but I also read on facebook too. So which ever way works out better for you. I will follow you whereever so I can find out about $5.95 pumpkin!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read it daily.
It’s something little but so aggravating. With all of the facebook and twitter streams, it’s hard to find your accurate statistics. I love it, but I’m sick of spending 4-6 hours a day working on it, in addition to being gone teaching 6 nights a week! If people are really out there, I don’t mind so much.
You belong on the millionaire’s blog, not the discount shopper’s one!
Thanks Nancy! I’ll never get rid of it, but definitely considering a cut back on the time spent or pursuing some other ways to get the stuff done.
I won’t ever get rid of it, but definitely thinking of cutting back if no one is out there. I’m putting in 50-60 hour weeks and still not getting all of the important stuff done!
Wow! I thought I was bad with once a week or so. We so need to get together and get some things figured out. What would you think about helping me get a workshop together in your area so I could come up and meet you?
I read all your Facebook comments, but I don’t think about blogs. My computer is slow and going from one place to another takes so much time that I don’t go to all the blogs and websites that I would like to. I really appreciate all the help you give on Facebook.
I am here and I love your Dillon’s posts!!! I must admit that I am not much of a commenter, but I do read your emails.
I read your blog pretty regularly, but I almost never think to go there until I see a facebook posting. I really enjoyed the story about the immature lady behind you at Dillons when you took the winner of your contest. Laugh out loud funny, read it to my husband funny.
I look at it once or twice a day, but don’t normally leave comments.
I read it EVERY day; it’s one of just 2-3 that I look at every day. I don’t usually comment beucase I didn’t figure it was important. Please don’t be discourage! We appreicate all you do!
I do look at your blog, I do hope you continue it, but can understand if it takes you that much time! WOW!!
I love your blog..all of your information. I probably check your blog once or twice a week. I also love the info on FB.
I love your blog and read it almost daily. Thank you so much for putting in the time and effort!
I am subscribed to your blog so I get it when it’s updated!! I love it, but don’t read it all a one time, as I am super busy!! Which is honestly why I don’t comment. However, I do appreciate you!!!
Alicia,
Confused. Is this the blog? If so, than no I forget to read it. I ALWAYS read my feeds from you and click on the links that are of interest to me, but seldom comment. I hate to think you are spending that much time on it daily. I still refer to you as “My Coupon Lady” and would hate to see you go. I’m sure I am just one of many who appreciate all you do to help us save money. Even after two and a half years at couponing I am amazed at the deals. I never would have known about it had it not been for your classes. If it will help I certainly will comment more often, but I do think that if you are neglecting important things than you should cut back, especially if those important things are your family.
I read your blog occassionally. I read the email I get of what you post on the blog. I usually never comment b/c I never have time and my computer is slow.
I do read all your Facebook posts! It is a lot easier for me to read them there than checking the blog.
I read your blog regularly for the deals and match ups, but rarely comment. I’m more of a lurker.
