The good news is that we’re still sitting at a 75% infection rate. The boy’s superpowers must be working well for him, as he woke up feeling great and has now left for school. The girl is also feeling much better. As for the hubby and I.. well.. I’m slightly worse, and hubby is complaining of his possible demise. My prognosis is that he is suffering from yet another case of the ‘one-uppers’ (you married women will fully understand that!). He actually asked for me to assist him in ending his bout with this illness last night. Of course, I not-so-politely declined, as suicide or assisted suicide would probably void out all life insurance benefits.
The hubby has only called into work sick once in the last seven years. He chose to make today #2. Because he has not been to an actual doctor since he moved here, 11 years ago, we will be trying to find someone to take him today. Most of his injuries require emergency or urgent care, everything else he just shrugs off while chugging a bottle of cough syrup.
I experienced a near panic attack this morning, as I could not log into the blog. I was sure I’d been hacked! Turns out that I’m just not typing too well.
I was also absolutely delighted that perfectly good news space was cluttered this morning with the announcement of the impending birth of the Duggar’s 19th child. Good for them! They all look clean, well behaved, and a lot more attentive than most children I see. I’m just wondering why I was forced to sacrifice my personal television viewing time for the announcement. Should we have been surprised? They sure acted like it. “The Duggar’s have an announcement to make… whatever will it be?” “Do you think they are getting a puppy?”
I do have a lot of work to get done today- let’s just hope I can find time to get it done! I did not wake up with energy this morning, but I did get half a load of dishes done. The other half is now sitting in a sink full of cold, dirty water. YUCK!
If anyone out there has an English degree is or an anally retentive proofreader, I could really use some help! While I am both, I don’t feel that I’m in any condition to give myself the final stamp of approval on a couple of projects. Email me if you fit the description.
Now… where are those kleenex? Thank goodness for obsessive stockpiling!
