Kimberly Clark and Procter & Gamble Co. are reporting first quarter losses of around 10% in 2011.  What does that mean?  Prices are skyrocketing on everyday use items.  This increase is blamed in part to higher prices on raw materials such as oil and pulp.

Here are some of the projected items affected along with their increases:

    • Huggies Diapers: 7%
    • Pampers Diapers: 7%
    • Huggies Wipes: 3%
    • Pampers Wipes: 3%
    • Cottonelle Toilet Paper: 7%
    • Bounty Paper Towels: 5%
    • Scott Toilet Paper: 7%
    • Charmin Toilet Paper: 5%

Also watch for increases on other necessary items, along with items that are purchased infrequently (such as sunscreen).
