Over the next few days, I’m going to outline some steps that will make your Black Friday and online shopping much easier- and save you more money!

Retailers have already taken a jump start on this year’s sales and are competing heavily for every possible sale.  Hot items will sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to have your accounts set up, lists made, and be ready to go as soon as the sales start.

The first step to shopping online is to sign up for an online rebating service, such as Ebates.  Sign up before you try to purchase to save time during hot sales.

Ebates is a website that offers cash back discounts from thousands of retailers.  When you log into your Ebates account, you will see listings for all of these stores, along with the percentage of cash back they are paying.  These percentages can change from day to day, so check back often.  For instance, as I type this, I see that Snapfish is paying 20% today, yesterday was 10%, Kohl’s is up to 4% from 2% yesterday, Walmart is paying 3%, etc.

When shopping through Ebates, sign into your Ebates account and click on the desired store.  You will then be taken to that store’s website to do your shopping.  You will still be able to enter any coupon codes or gift certificates you have.  Within a couple of days, the percentage of your total that Ebates was offering will be deposited directly in your Ebates account.  You will receive a check (or Paypal deposit) each quarter you are over $5.00.  (You’ll receive $5 just for signing up!)

You can also receive cash back through MyPointsMyPoints offers an online rebating system based off of points, which can be redeemed on their site for gift cards.  You’ll receive 100 FREE points for signing up hereMyPoints

Which would I pick?  I use Ebates because it’s cold-hard cash.  But sometimes there are stores that aren’t offered at Ebates, so I always check MyPoints, too!

Here’s today’s mission:  Sign up for Ebates and MyPoints so you’ll save even more on the great deals I start to post!
