“No good deal goes unpunished” was our motto for the weekend. What a trip!!! Getting to and from our destination was possibly definitely the weirdest and most troublesome trip I’ve ever been on.
Once we arrived to meet our friends (from a combination of bus and Amtrak- SERIOUS rental car issues), we had an awesome time. We did encounter what could only be considered a monsoon in California while camping (in Missouri it’s called light rain), but it started near bedtime.
We had another extremely challenging trip back to the airport, but our flight home was uneventful. Of course, we landed in a full fledged Missouri rain, complete with flood warnings and all.
All in all, great trip, great friends, and great food. Next time, I’m not sure I’m up for making a trip from LA to San Diego just because the tickets were cheap.
