I hope everyone is having a beautiful morning, regardless of your location. The sun is out here in the frozen tundra that most call Missouri. You’d better buy a lottery ticket, because it was out yesterday too. Our not so on-the-spot weatherman said it was the first day in over a week- I might believe that.
The irony of sun’s debut is that we are leaving on vacation today in hopes of getting sun. We’re headed to San Diego, where the weather has been in the upper 70s for weeks, which is unusual for this year. Not to worry, our vacation curse precedes us and it’s only predicted to be 61 degrees today. It’s supposed to be 50 here. Is the trip worth 11 degrees? I sure hope so!
I have a couple of scheduled posts for the next couple of days, but my challenge this trip is to leave the laptop behind. This is extremely difficult for me, as blogging is a 24/7 job. And I’m not even that good at it! My laptop is also my sense of security. Flex and I are old pros at traveling, and we like to read directions once and see if we can follow them. We haven’t messed up yet! When I have my laptop, I have access to all of the information I could ever need at my fingertips. If we were to get lost, I could look up an alternate route. Need a phone number? No problem.
For this trip, I’m reverting to the old fashioned methods. I need to drag the laptop to the office and hook it to the printer to print everything on paper (can you even buy that stuff anymore?) synced it all with my iTouch, have crossed my fingers, and hope that I know how to work the darn thing!
Enjoy your weekend! I’m off to convince Flex that even though the trash is only half full, he still has to take it out. If I spend my weekend grossed about the 4 day old Subway wrappers in the kitchen, he’s not going to have much fun.
