I feel like a cheater- kind of like Chloe and Phillip on Days of Our Lives. Dillons has upset me, so I made a trip to HyVee! It was exhilarating, and I didn’t even stop at Gerbes on my way home!
I walked in with $10 cash and a few General Mills coupons that I found on coupons.com. I came out with 66 boxes of cereal, 8 pounds of hamburger, 2 pounds of crawfish, 2 dozen eggs, 2 tubs of deli meat, 2 12-packs of snack sized Nabisco cookies, and a case of bottled water (not pictured)- oh, and $2!
Through tomorrow, there is a coupon in their ad for $10 of of 6 boxes of General Mills Cereals. Most cereals were priced at $2.50-$3.89 (all of the cheaper stuff was long gone). When you checkout, you’ll get a catalina for $6 OYNO and a coupon for $2 off of 5 General Mills Cereals.
They also have Ballpark hot dogs for 99¢, so you’ll get overage if you have the $2/1 coupon from Facebook a few days ago.
Because I was offline all weekend, I just found out about the deal today, but heard mixed reviews on how it really worked. I wanted to test it before anyone made the 1-3 hour trip out there. If you are thinking about going tomorrow, allow for extra time due to road work on I-44 and North 5, and also along East 54. My trip normally takes 49 minutes and it took an hour and a half due to road closures.

Where is the closest HyVee to Springfield? Any Idea when the one in oour area is going to be opening? I am very disappointed in Dillons & may stop shopping there just like I have Price Cutter, but I need somewhere new to shop.
