I want to thank everyone for their responses yesterday. I didn’t want to even think about discontinuing the blog, but if no one was there reading it, it was kind of a big waste of time! It’s nice to see all of the comments and interactions! When I don’t have much response, it’s kind of like talking to a wall. If you have time- trust me, if anyone knows how tough it is to find time, it’s me- it’s so encouraging, not only to me, but to other readers to leave a comment if a deal has helped you, if you have questions, etc. By doing so, I also get an idea of the kind of content you’re looking for, which can only lead to improvements.
I also loved hearing from all of the other bloggers with the same problems. I’m kind of run backwards, as my classes and speaking are my main focus, so I do get some interaction, but these girls strictly just run the blogs. If you frequent other blogs, pop in and let them know you’re there from time to time!
All of that being said, there are going to be a few changes around here to streamline things:
Facebook Readers:
I will be disabling the posts on my personal page within the next few days. If you’d like to continue receiving them, you HAVE to ‘Like’ our Fan Page. You can access it here: Gateway to Saving Facebook Page Sometimes the feed hiccups, and the same post will appear multiple times on each page. Then I have several similar conversations going on in different places and have a rough time keeping up.
Remember that when you’re using Facebook, you are missing out on at least half of the content. Not everything is carried over, and much of the good stuff is reserved for those who actually read it on the blog.
If you read a handful of blogs, you should considering up for a free service such as Google Reader. It collects ALL of the posts from your favorite blogs and you can read them in one place. That’s how I do it!
Submitting a post:
I’ve got a crazy schedule and it’s hard for me to be online all of the time to keep things current. If you see a great deal and want to share, you can send it to me and I’ll post it! That helps me out SOOOO much. I also accept guest posts, if you’d like to write one, please contact me.
Supporting the blog:
The blog does contain some affiliate links, so if you see a great deal I’ve posted, chances are that I will make a little bit of cash if you click on the links in the post. This rings especially true for Amazon items and a few printable coupons.
You can also sign up for our workshops or sign up to host one! We’ve got 7 different ones now, they are so much fun- and help offset the costs of everything else.
