Why do I always feel like I’m writing a personals ad when I write an About Me page? I’ve always been cheap. The thing is that I never went without anything.. pretty much the opposite. My mom always said that I could do more with $50 than most people could do with thousands. What a wise woman! I have always lived by the ‘why spend it when you don’t have to’ policy.
I am a corporate accountant turned WAHM. That is the correct acronym for Work At Home Mom. It should be W.A.H.M. If you say WAHM as intended (waaah-mm) it sounds like a really memorable Star Wars joke I once heard. At one time, I was a career student. I boast several degrees and qualifications in completely unrelated fields. Now I’ve learned that I can teach myself anything I want with the internet and spend a lot of time doing so.
I’ve often been told that I have a 6th sense for deals. I’m not sure if it’s a ‘feeling’ or pure luck, but I have a pretty amazing track record. I’ve worked diligently with several manufacturers, coupon printers, and store executives to learn everything possible about coupons and couponing. I’ve done this for years and have accumulated every last piece of useless knowledge, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.
I have a VERY hard working husband. He has to be the most tolerant and loving man I’ve ever met. Together, we have a son (10) and daughter (5). Love them! We love sports, traveling, friends, family, barbecues, hot weather, camping, and our horses. This summer, we plan to take up mountain biking. It’s a good thing we all like the same thing! We’re not happy unless we’re outside. Being cooped up is definitely not our choice way of spending time.
I also despise reading a blog that does not state where the author is from, but I won’t give you a location that is specific enough to stalk me. We live in the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri. We’re near Branson, but we don’t visit very often. Although we love traveling, we HATE commercialized tourist destinations!

Oh my gosh I live in sothwest mo between Springfield and Joplin and its nice to find a couponing blog close to me. I was curious where you do your shopping. Like Krogers I don’t know where there is one close to me. My closest town is 10 miles away and only has Walmart and Rameys (price cutter) and its hard to get really good deals.

I live 10 miles from any store and it’s just a small, expensive one. I drive to Springfield (around 50 miles each way) to shop at Dillons and Price Cutter. Dillons is a Kroger store.
